Method
Crab Cake Preparation
- 1
Combine Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, gently fold together the fresh lump crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, black pepper, green onions, and the beaten egg until just combined. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
- 2
Form Patties
Once the mixture is well combined, use your hands to form the mixture into patties, about 3 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape.
- 3
Dredge in Flour
After chilling, lightly dredge each crab cake in all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess flour.

Sauté the Crab Cakes
In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Once the butter is melted and bubbling, carefully place the crab cakes in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and heated through.
