Method

Ribs Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Make the Dry Rub

In a bowl, combine salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Apply the Rub

Generously coat both sides of the ribs with the dry rub mixture. Let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  4. 4

    Bake the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and cover them with another piece of foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until tender.

BBQ Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Make the BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir well.

  2. 6

    Simmer the Sauce

Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Fries Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin fries. Rinse them in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 8

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 9

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the fries in batches to the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch.

  4. 10

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Season with salt to taste.

Final Assembly

  1. 11

    Glaze the Ribs

Once the ribs are done baking, remove them from the oven and brush generously with the prepared BBQ sauce.

  2. 12

    Serve

Slice the ribs between the bones and serve with the hand-cut claw fries on the side. Enjoy your delicious baby back ribs!
