Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Lamb

In a bowl, mix the lamb pieces with yogurt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Onions

Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.

  3. 3

    Add Ginger-Garlic Paste

Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

  4. 4

    Cook the Lamb

Add the marinated lamb to the pot and cook on high heat for about 5-7 minutes until the lamb is browned.

  5. 5

    Add Tomatoes and Coconut Milk

Stir in the chopped tomatoes, and after they soften, add the coconut milk. Bring to a gentle simmer.

  6. 6

    Finish Cooking

Cover and cook on low heat for about 30-40 minutes or until the lamb is tender, stirring occasionally.

  7. 7

    Add Garam Masala

Once the lamb is cooked, stir in garam masala and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.

  8. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with basmati rice or Kerala parotta.
