Toppings

Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until the spices are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Shape Patties

Divide the meat mixture into four equal portions and shape them into burger patties, approximately ¾ inch thick.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Cook Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

  2. 4

    Cook Patties

In the same skillet, or on a grill, cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Toast Buns

Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Layer Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise, followed by the lettuce leaf, tomato slice, pickles, and onion slice. Place the cooked burger patty with melted cheese on top, followed by 2 slices of bacon.

  3. 7

    Finish Assembly

Spread 1 tablespoon of ketchup on the top half of the bun, then place it on top of the assembled burger.
