Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Add 1 tsp of salt to the boiling water.

  2. 2

    Add Pasta

Add 2 cups of pasta to the boiling water. Cook according to package directions until al dente, usually around 8-10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Drain and Toss

Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander. Drizzle with 1 tbs of olive oil and toss gently to prevent sticking.

In a medium saucepan, heat 1 tbs of olive oil over medium heat.

  2. 5

    Sauté Garlic

Add 2 minced cloves of garlic to the oil and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. 6

    Combine Ingredients

Add the can of crushed tomatoes, 1 tsp of dried basil, 1 tsp of dried oregano, and 1 tsp of salt to the pan. Stir to combine.

  4. 7

    Simmer

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
