Method
Grilled Cheese Sandwich
- 1
Prep the Ingredients
Gather all the ingredients for the grilled cheese sandwich. Lay out the bread slices and cheese slices.
- 2
Butter the Bread
Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- 3
Assemble the Sandwich
Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in a skillet. Layer 2 slices of cheese on top, then place the other slice of bread on top, buttered side up.
- 4
Grill the Sandwich
Heat the skillet over medium heat. Cook the sandwich for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the other side is golden brown.
- 5
Slice and Serve
Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice it into halves or quarters, and serve warm.
French Fries
- 6
Prep the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to make fries.
- 7
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 8
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry them for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- 9
Drain and Season
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. While they are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
- 10
Serve
Serve the fries alongside the grilled cheese sandwiches for a delicious meal.
