Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.

In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.

Cover the ribs tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until they are tender.

Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin strips to resemble fries.
