Prepare the Tea

Boil Water
In a medium pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

Steep Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Let them steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.

Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.
Flavor the Tea

Add Flavorings
If desired, stir in 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of honey or sugar into the cooled tea. Mix well until dissolved.

Add Mint
Add 10 fresh mint leaves to the tea for additional flavor. You can muddle the leaves lightly with a spoon to release their oils.
Serve the Iced Tea

Prepare Glasses
In a tall glass, add 2 cups of ice cubes.

Pour the cooled tea over the ice-filled glass until full.

Garnish with a slice of lemon on the rim of the glass and a few extra mint leaves, if desired.
