Flatbread Preparation

Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

Make Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Let Dough Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a baking stone or baking sheet inside to heat up.

Shape Flatbread
Once dough has risen, punch it down and transfer to a floured surface. Roll it out into a rectangle or circle, about ¼ inch thick.

Add Toppings
Transfer the rolled-out dough to a piece of parchment paper. Brush the surface lightly with truffle oil. Evenly distribute the mushroom-herb mixture over the dough and sprinkle with grated Parmesan.

Bake Flatbread
Carefully slide the flatbread onto the hot baking stone or baking sheet. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.

Finish with Arugula
Remove from the oven and top with fresh arugula. Drizzle with additional truffle oil if desired.
