Preparation Steps
Cook the Beef
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat.
Season the Beef
Add the taco seasoning to the cooked beef along with 2/3 cup of water. Stir well and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Prepare Taco Shells
While the beef is simmering, preheat the oven according to the taco shell package instructions. Arrange taco shells on a baking sheet and heat them in the oven for about 5 minutes.
Assemble the Tacos
Once the taco shells are warm, fill each shell with the seasoned beef mixture. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.
Serve
Serve the tacos hot, and enjoy with your choice of salsa or sour cream!
