Prepare glass and gather ingredients
Chill a rocks glass or coupe in the freezer for about 5 minutes. Have measured: bourbon 60 ml, maple syrup 15 ml, lemon juice 15 ml, Angostura bitters 0.5 tsp, club soda 60 ml, and 4 ice cubes, plus one orange twist for garnish.

In a cocktail shaker, combine 60 ml bourbon, 15 ml maple syrup, 15 ml fresh lemon juice, 0.5 tsp Angostura bitters, and 4 ice cubes. Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until well chilled.
