Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Generously season both sides of the steak with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet or cast-iron pan, heat the olive oil over high heat until it shimmers.

  4. 4

    Sear the Steak

Add the steak to the hot pan and sear for 4-5 minutes on one side until a golden-brown crust forms.

  5. 5

    Add Aromatics

Flip the steak, add the garlic cloves and rosemary to the pan, and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare.

  6. 6

    Baste the Steak

Tilt the pan slightly and use a spoon to baste the steak with the hot oil and juices for extra flavor.

  7. 7

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.

  8. 8

    Serve

Slice the steak against the grain and serve immediately.
