Fried Banana Ingredients
Method
Fried Banana Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Gradually add water to the dry ingredients while whisking until smooth and well combined.
- 2
Slice the Bananas
Peel the ripe bananas and slice them into 1-inch thick pieces.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Bananas
Dip each banana slice into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off. Carefully place the battered banana slices into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
- 5
Drain and Serve
Once fried, remove the bananas from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve warm as a sweet and crispy side dish.
