    Prepare the Beans

    Soak the black beans in water overnight. Drain and rinse before cooking.

    Cook the Meats

    In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Add pork shoulder and brown on all sides.

    Add Sausages

    Slice the smoked sausage and chorizo, then add them to the pot. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

    Sauté Vegetables

    Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Sauté until the onion is translucent.

    Combine Ingredients

    Add the soaked black beans, bay leaves, black pepper, and water to the pot. Bring to a boil.

    Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let simmer for about 2 hours, or until the beans and meats are tender.

    Season and Serve

    Season with salt to taste. Serve hot with rice and orange slices.
