Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Caramel

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and water. Stir until the sugar dissolves and then stop stirring. Allow the mixture to boil until it turns a golden brown color. Carefully pour the caramel into a round baking dish, tilting to coat the bottom evenly. Set aside to cool and harden.

  2. 2

    Mix the Custard

In a blender, combine the eggs, sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine and Bake

Pour the custard mixture over the hardened caramel in the baking dish. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a water bath by placing the baking dish in a larger dish filled with water. Bake the pudding for about 50-60 minutes, or until set.

  4. 4

    Cool and Serve

Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool at room temperature. Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. To serve, run a knife around the edges of the pudding and invert onto a serving plate.
