Cook the Tagliatelle
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the tagliatelle according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Ragu
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, carrot, and celery. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Deglaze with Wine
Pour in the red wine and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the alcohol evaporates.

Add Tomatoes and Simmer
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, salt, and black pepper. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Mix Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked tagliatelle to the ragu sauce and toss to combine. Cook together for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.

Serve the tagliatelle Bolognese topped with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil.
