Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Tagliatelle

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the tagliatelle according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ragu

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, carrot, and celery. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add Meat and Garlic

Add the ground beef and pork to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

  4. 4

    Deglaze with Wine

Pour in the red wine and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the alcohol evaporates.

  5. 5

    Add Tomatoes and Simmer

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, salt, and black pepper. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  6. 6

    Mix Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked tagliatelle to the ragu sauce and toss to combine. Cook together for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the tagliatelle Bolognese topped with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil.
