- 1
Prepare the Beef Patties
In a large bowl, mix the ground Black Angus beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.
- 2
Cook the Patties
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties, place two slices of American cheese on top of each patty, and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.
- 3
Prepare the Buns
While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- 4
Assemble the Burger
Spread a generous amount of peppered mayo on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place one cheesy beef patty on each bun. Top each patty with a tablespoon of bacon jam and a handful of pickles. Finally, place the top half of the bun on each burger.
- 5
Serve
Cut the burgers in half if desired and serve immediately with your favorite sides.
