Beef Cobb Salad

Method

Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Tenderloin

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Rub the beef tenderloin with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Grill the beef for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Smoked Eggs

Hard boil the eggs and then smoke them for additional flavor. Once smoked, peel and dice the eggs into small pieces.

  3. 3

    Fry the Green Tomatoes

Slice the green tomatoes into thick rounds, dip them in flour, then egg wash, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat and fry the tomatoes until golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Salad

In a large salad bowl, layer the mixed greens as the base. Top with sliced grilled beef, cheddar cheese, diced smoked eggs, sliced avocado, fried green tomatoes, and crumbled bacon.

  5. 5

    Add Dressing

Drizzle the bleu cheese dressing over the top of the assembled salad. Serve immediately.
