Appetizer 1: Bruschetta

Method

Bruschetta Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Baguette

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into ½ inch thick slices.

  2. 2

    Toast the Bread

Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush both sides lightly with olive oil. Bake for 5-7 minutes until golden and crisp.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Tomato Mixture

Dice the Roma tomatoes and finely chop the basil leaves. In a bowl, combine tomatoes, basil, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Bruschetta

Top each toasted baguette slice with a generous spoonful of the tomato mixture. Serve immediately.

Spinach and Artichoke Dip Preparation

  1. 5

    Cook the Spinach

In a large skillet over medium heat, add fresh spinach and sauté until wilted, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

  2. 6

    Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked spinach, canned artichoke hearts (drained and chopped), cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.

  3. 7

    Bake the Dip

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and smooth the top. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.

  4. 8

    Serve with Chips

Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm with tortilla chips.
