Sandwich Components

Method

Preparing the Salmon

  1. 1

    Season the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning evenly over both sides of the salmon.

  2. 2

    Grill the Salmon

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the salmon for 4-5 minutes on each side or until it flakes easily with a fork. Remove from the grill and set aside.

Assembling the Sandwich

  1. 3

    Prepare the Bread

Slice the bread rolls in half and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 4

    Add Lettuce and Tomato

Place two lettuce leaves on the bottom half of each toasted roll. Slice the tomato and layer it on top of the lettuce.

  3. 5

    Add Grilled Salmon

Place the grilled salmon fillet on top of the tomato slices.

  4. 6

    Top with Bread

Cover with the top half of the bread roll to complete the sandwich.

Making the Spicy Tartar Sauce

  1. 7

    Mix Ingredients

In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, chopped capers, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended.

  2. 8

    Serve

Transfer the spicy tartar sauce to a small serving dish to accompany the sandwiches.
