Main Ingredients

Optional Marinade

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade (Optional)

If using the marinade, finely chop the garlic and dill. In a small bowl, combine the garlic, dill, soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Prep the Salmon

Rinse the salmon filets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. If using the marinade, place the salmon in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. If not marinating, proceed to the next step.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 4

    Season the Salmon

If not using a marinade, brush the salmon filets with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  3. 5

    Bake the Salmon

Place the salmon filets skin-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon over the filets. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 6

    Serve

Once done, remove the salmon from the oven. Drizzle with additional lemon juice and serve warm, garnished with lemon slices and fresh dill if desired.
