Method

Preparing the Shrimp

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

Rinse the jumbo shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place the flour, cornstarch, and breadcrumbs. In another bowl, beat the eggs. Season the flour mixture with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Bread the Shrimp

Dip each shrimp first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Set aside on a plate.

Frying the Shrimp

  1. 4

    Heat Oil

In a large frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 5

    Fry the Shrimp

Carefully add the breaded shrimp to the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

  3. 6

    Drain Shrimp

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried shrimp and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Making the Tartar Sauce

  1. 7

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, chopped pickles, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Making the Lemon Garlic Sauce

  1. 8

    Melt Butter

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.

  2. 9

    Sauté Garlic

Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

  3. 10

    Add Lemon Juice and Parsley

Stir in lemon juice, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional minute.

Serving

  1. 11

    Plate the Dish

Serve the fried shrimp hot with the tartar sauce on the side, or serve the grilled shrimp drizzled with the lemon garlic sauce.
