Preparing the Shrimp
- 1
Prepare the Shrimp
Rinse the jumbo shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate bowls, place the flour, cornstarch, and breadcrumbs. In another bowl, beat the eggs. Season the flour mixture with salt and black pepper.
- 3
Bread the Shrimp
Dip each shrimp first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Set aside on a plate.
Frying the Shrimp

Heat Oil
In a large frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Shrimp
Carefully add the breaded shrimp to the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- 6
Drain Shrimp
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried shrimp and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Making the Tartar Sauce
