Chicken Cutlets
Garlic or Lemon Sauce
Method
Preparing Chicken Cutlets
- 1
Prepare Chicken
Begin by placing the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap. Use a meat mallet or rolling pin to pound them to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.
- 2
Season Chicken
Remove the plastic wrap and season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- 3
Set Up Breading Station
In three shallow dishes, set up your breading station: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and the last with breadcrumbs.
- 4
Bread the Chicken
Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off the excess. Dip into the beaten eggs, and then coat with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- 5
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken cutlets. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
