Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak (Optional)

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and honey. Whisk together until well blended. Place the skirt steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish, pour the marinade over it, seal or cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to 2 hours.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

If not marinating, drizzle olive oil over the skirt steak and rub it evenly. Then, sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper on both sides of the steak, rubbing them in gently.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F to 500°F). Make sure the grill grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Char-Broil the Steak

Once the grill is ready, place the skirt steak directly on the grill. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side without moving it to get good grill marks.

  3. 5

    Flip and Finish Cooking

Flip the steak and continue grilling for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time to your preference for doneness.

  4. 6

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  5. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Slice the steak against the grain and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
