Prepare the Edamame
Rinse the edamame pods under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Set aside.

Prepare the Steamer
Fill a pot with about 2 inches of water and bring it to a boil. Place a steamer basket over the pot, making sure it doesn't touch the water.
Cooking

Steam the Edamame
Once the water is boiling, add the edamame pods to the steamer basket. Cover with a lid and steam for about 5-7 minutes, or until the pods are tender and bright green.
Serving

Season and Serve
Remove the edamame from the steamer and transfer to a serving bowl. Sprinkle the sea salt evenly over the edamame. Serve warm, allowing diners to pop the beans from the pods into their mouths.
