Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Edamame

Rinse the edamame pods under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Steamer

Fill a pot with about 2 inches of water and bring it to a boil. Place a steamer basket over the pot, making sure it doesn't touch the water.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Steam the Edamame

Once the water is boiling, add the edamame pods to the steamer basket. Cover with a lid and steam for about 5-7 minutes, or until the pods are tender and bright green.

Serving

  1. 4

    Season and Serve

Remove the edamame from the steamer and transfer to a serving bowl. Sprinkle the sea salt evenly over the edamame. Serve warm, allowing diners to pop the beans from the pods into their mouths.
