Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Edamame

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the edamame pods and cook for 5-7 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Melt the Butter

In a wok or large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Add Garlic and Spices

Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.

  2. 4

    Add Edamame

Add the cooked edamame pods to the wok. Stir to coat them in the garlic butter mixture.

  3. 5

    Season

Pour the soy sauce over the edamame and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the edamame to absorb the flavors.

  4. 6

    Finish with Sesame Oil

Drizzle the sesame oil over the edamame and give it a final toss to combine all ingredients.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve Hot

Transfer the spicy edamame to a serving bowl and enjoy hot as an appetizer or snack!
