Chop the onion, mince the garlic, and dice the carrots and potatoes.

Prepare the Ingredients

In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent. Then add the diced carrots and potatoes, stirring to combine.

Stir in the beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, dried thyme, and bay leaf. Bring to a boil.

Add the Remaining Ingredients

Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 30 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.

Prepare the Batter

Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.

Stir in boiling water until well combined. The batter will be thin.

Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

On each skewer, thread a cherry tomato, a basil leaf, and a mozzarella ball. Repeat until each skewer has all three components, creating a colorful arrangement.

Gather all the ingredients and wash the lettuce and tomato. Slice the tomato into thin rounds.

Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of sourdough bread. Layer turkey breast, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and tomato on two of the slices. Season with salt and pepper.
