Preparation Steps

   Prepare the Hoagie

   Slice the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise without cutting all the way through.

   Add Ingredients

   Layer the sliced ham and cheese inside the hoagie rolls. If desired, spread mustard or mayonnaise on the inside.

   Butter the Outside

   Spread butter on the outside of each hoagie roll to help it toast.

   Toast the Hoagie

   Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the hoagies butter-side down. Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-5 minutes per side.
