Cooking Directions

1

Prepare the Ingredients

Chop the mushrooms and slice the onion thinly. Set aside.

2

Cook the Onions and Mushrooms

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they become translucent. Add the chopped mushrooms and continue cooking until they are soft. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.

3

Form and Cook the Patties

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and form them into patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and heat over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

4

Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

5

Toast the Buns

While the cheese is melting, toast the gourmet burger buns in a separate skillet or in a toaster until golden brown.

6

Assemble the Burger

Place the cooked patties with melted cheese on the bottom half of the toasted buns. Top with the sautéed mushrooms and onions, then place the top half of the bun. Serve immediately.
