Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the sliced onions and sauté for about 5 minutes until they turn translucent. Add the sliced mushrooms and continue to cook for another 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown. Season with salt and black pepper. Once done, remove from heat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Burger

Form the ground beef into a patty, making sure it's slightly larger than the bun, as it will shrink while cooking. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Heat the remaining tablespoon of butter in the same skillet over medium-high heat. Place the patty in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium doneness, adjusting time for your preferred doneness.

  3. 3

    Toast the Bun

While the burger is cooking, cut the gourmet bun in half and toast it in the skillet until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Once the burger is cooked to your liking, place it on the bottom half of the toasted bun. Top with the sautéed mushrooms and onions. Place the top half of the bun on top and serve immediately.
