Preparation

1

Soak the Cedar Plank

Begin by soaking the cedar plank in water for at least 1 hour. This prevents it from burning during grilling.

2

Prepare the Cauliflower

Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower head. Rinse it under cold water and pat dry.

3

Make the Marinade

In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.

4

Marinate the Cauliflower

Place the cauliflower head in a large resealable plastic bag or a bowl. Pour the marinade over the cauliflower, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Grilling

5

Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 350°F or 175°C).

6

Prepare the Cedar Plank

Remove the cedar plank from the water and pat it dry. Place it on the grill grates for about 5 minutes to heat it up.

7

Grill the Cauliflower

Place the marinated cauliflower directly on the cedar plank. Close the grill lid and cook for 30-40 minutes, or until the cauliflower is tender and has a nice char. You can brush more marinade over it halfway through cooking.

8

Garnish and Serve

Once cooked, remove the cedar plank from the grill. Garnish the cauliflower with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
