Method

Preparing the Schnitzel

  1. 1

    Pound the Pork

Using a meat mallet, pound the pork loin chops to about 1/4 inch thickness.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate shallow dishes, place flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and bread crumbs in the third.

  3. 3

    Season the Pork

Season the pork chops with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  4. 4

    Bread the Pork

Coat each pork chop first in flour, then dip into the eggs, and finally coat with bread crumbs.

  5. 5

    Fry the Schnitzel

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded pork chops and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Making the Mashed Potatoes

  1. 6

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into quarters. Place them in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 7

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Preparing the Creamy Mushroom Sauce

  1. 8

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped onion, sauté until translucent.

  2. 9

    Cook the Mushrooms

Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 10

    Add Cream and Seasoning

Stir in heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. Let simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Assembling the Salad

  1. 11

    Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced cucumber.

  2. 12

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Toss gently to combine.
