Mititei (Grilled Minced Meat Rolls)

Crispy Deep-Fried Meatballs

Savory Smoked Pork Sausages

Golden Fries

Method

Mititei Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, minced garlic, beef broth, baking soda, salt, black pepper, paprika, thyme, and cumin. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

  2. 2

    Shape the Mititei

Wet your hands and shape the mixture into small cylindrical rolls, about 10 cm long and 2.5 cm in diameter.

  3. 3

    Grill the Mititei

Preheat the grill over medium heat. Brush the mititei with oil and grill them for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and nicely charred.

Crispy Deep-Fried Meatballs Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, chopped onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are evenly distributed.

  2. 5

    Form the Meatballs

Shape the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.

  3. 6

    Fry the Meatballs

Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Fry the meatballs in batches for about 4-5 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.

Cooking the Smoked Pork Sausages

  1. 7

    Cook the Sausages

In a skillet over medium heat, add the smoked pork sausages and cook for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally until heated through and slightly crispy.

Golden Fries Preparation

  1. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, carefully add the cut potatoes and fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 9

    Serve with Parmesan

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt and top with shaved Parmesan cheese.
