Method

Lamb Preparation

  1. 1

    Sear the Lamb

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the lamb shoulder with salt and black pepper, then sear on all sides until browned, about 4-5 minutes each side.

  2. 2

    Slow Cook the Lamb

Transfer the seared lamb to a slow cooker. Add minced garlic, chopped rosemary, and pour in the red wine. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the lamb is meltingly tender.

Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 3

    Cook the Potatoes

In a large pot, add the peeled and cubed potatoes. Cover with cold water and add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 4

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, caramelized onions, salt and pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Vegetable Preparation

  1. 5

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced carrots and green beans, season with salt and black pepper. Sauté until tender, about 8-10 minutes.

Horseradish Sauce Preparation

  1. 6

    Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine prepared horseradish, sour cream, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and adjust seasoning to taste.
