Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the New York strip steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Sauce

In the same skillet, pour in the red or green enchilada sauce and heat through.

  5. 5

    Serve

Slice the steak and serve it on a plate. Top with the heated enchilada sauce. Serve with a side of rice, fries, or potato salad as desired.
