Beef Enchilada Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent.

  2. 2

Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.

  3. 3

Stir in cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and remove from heat.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Enchiladas

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  5. 5

Spread a thin layer of enchilada sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.

  6. 6

Take a tortilla, fill it with the beef mixture, and sprinkle some shredded cheese on top. Roll it up and place seam-side down in the baking dish.

  7. 7

Repeat with all tortillas, placing them side by side in the baking dish.

  8. 8

Pour the remaining enchilada sauce over the top and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.

  9. 9

    Bake the Enchiladas

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  10. 10

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
