Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Lettuce
Wash the Romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold running water. Remove any wilted or damaged outer leaves. Pat dry with paper towels or use a salad spinner to remove excess water.
- 2
Chop the Lettuce
Once dry, chop the Romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large mixing bowl.
- 3
Add Cheese
Sprinkle the diced sharp provolone cheese over the chopped lettuce in the mixing bowl.
- 4
Add Croutons
Add the croutons to the bowl, evenly distributing them over the lettuce and cheese.
- 5
Prepare the Dressing
In a separate small bowl, prepare the Caesar dressing by whisking together 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1-2 minced garlic cloves, and salt and pepper to taste.
- 6
Combine Salad with Dressing
Drizzle the prepared Caesar dressing over the salad ingredients in the mixing bowl. Toss gently to combine, ensuring that all ingredients are well coated with the dressing.
- 7
Finish with Parmesan
Sprinkle the fresh grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the salad as a finishing touch.
- 8
Serve
Serve the Caesar salad immediately while the croutons are still crunchy. Enjoy!
