Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meringue

Preheat your oven to 225°F (110°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Whip Egg Whites

In a clean, dry mixing bowl, whip the egg whites on medium speed until soft peaks form.

  3. 3

    Add Sugar and Stabilizers

Gradually add the granulated sugar, cornstarch, and vinegar while continuing to whip until stiff peaks form and the mixture is glossy.

  4. 4

    Shape Meringues

Spoon or pipe the meringue mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, creating small nests.

  5. 5

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the meringues are completely dry and can be easily lifted off the parchment paper.

  6. 6

    Prepare the Cream

While the meringues are baking, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.

  7. 7

    Prepare the Strawberries

Wash and slice the fresh strawberries, setting aside a few whole for garnish.

  8. 8

    Assemble

Once the meringues are cooled, fill each nest with whipped cream and top with sliced strawberries.

  9. 9

    Serve

Garnish with whole strawberries and serve immediately.
