Frango Agridoce features tender chicken tossed in a delightful blend of sweet and spicy sauce, creating a perfect balance of flavors.
In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sriracha, minced garlic, and ginger. Add the chicken thighs and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade (reserving the marinade) and add to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add sliced onion and bell pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes until soft.
Return the chicken to the skillet, pour the reserved marinade over the top, and let simmer for another 5 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving. Enjoy with rice or noodles.
