Clean the Clams
Rinse the clams in cold water to remove any sand or debris. Soak them in fresh water for about 20 minutes to help purge any remaining sand. Rinse again.

Melt the Butter
In a large pot over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.

Add Wine and Clams
Pour in the dry white wine and bring to a simmer. Add the cleaned clams to the pot.

Steam the Clams
Cover the pot with a lid and steam the clams for about 5-7 minutes, or until they open up. Discard any clams that remain closed.

Season and Serve
Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley, add salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
