In a sturdy glass, add the mint leaves and lime juice. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press the mint leaves to release their oils, being careful not to tear them apart too much.

Pour in the Bacardi rum and simple syrup. Stir the mixture gently to combine all the flavors.
