Oysters

Method

Preparation

1

Gather Ingredients

Collect all the ingredients needed for serving the oysters, including fresh Atlantic oysters, lemon, mignonette sauce, cracked black pepper, sea salt, and fresh parsley.

2

Shuck the Oysters

Using an oyster knife, carefully shuck each oyster. Hold the oyster firmly in a towel and insert the knife into the hinge. Twist to open and slide the knife along the shell to detach the meat from the top shell.

3

Arrange on Ice

Place the shucked oysters on a platter filled with crushed ice to keep them chilled and fresh.

4

Prepare Lemon and Garnish

Cut the lemon into wedges and chop the fresh parsley finely for garnish.

Serving

5

Add Mignonette Sauce

Drizzle a spoonful of mignonette sauce over each oyster to enhance the briny flavor.

6

Garnish

Sprinkle a pinch of cracked black pepper and a small pinch of sea salt on top of each oyster for additional flavor.

7

Serve with Lemon

Serve the oysters with lemon wedges on the side. Guests can squeeze lemon juice over the oysters if desired.

8

Enjoy

Encourage guests to enjoy the oysters fresh and chilled, either straight from the shell or with the accompanying sauces.
