Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps in even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub both sides of the ribeye steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt and black pepper. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Heat the Pan

Heat a heavy skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat until hot. You want the surface to be very hot to achieve a good sear.

  4. 4

    Add Garlic and Rosemary

Add minced garlic and rosemary to the skillet once it's hot, and let them infuse their flavors in the oil for about 1 minute.

  5. 5

    Cook the Steaks

Place the ribeye steaks in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy (130°F for medium-rare).

  6. 6

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice the ribeye against the grain and serve immediately, optionally with your favorite sides.
