Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

In a bowl, combine ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into 4 equal patties.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

In the same skillet, cook the patties over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese and Chile

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Tucumcari cheddar on each patty and top with Rosales green chile. Cover to melt the cheese.

  5. 5

    Toast the Buns

While the cheese is melting, toast the milk buns on another skillet until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burgers

On the bottom half of each bun, place the lettuce, then the patty with melted cheese and green chile. Top with sliced tomato and onion, then cover with the top half of the bun.
