Pork Ribs

French Fries

Method

Pork Ribs

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Start by preheating your grill to medium-high heat. Rinse the baby back ribs under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Rub the olive oil over the ribs and then evenly coat them with the spice mixture.

  3. 3

    Grill the Ribs

Place the ribs on the grill bone side down. Grill for about 1.5 to 2 hours, turning them every 30 minutes. Brush with barbecue sauce during the last 15 minutes of grilling.

  4. 4

    Rest the Ribs

Once cooked, remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Rice

  1. 5

    Cook the Rice

In a medium-sized pot, combine the long-grain rice, water, and salt. Bring to a boil over high heat.

  2. 6

    Simmer

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and water is absorbed.

  3. 7

    Fluff the Rice

Remove the pot from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes. Then fluff the rice with a fork.

French Fries

  1. 8

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to resemble French fries. Rinse the cut potatoes in cold water to remove excess starch.

  2. 9

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pot or fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 180°C (350°F).

  3. 10

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips in batches and fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  4. 11

    Season the Fries

Sprinkle the fried potatoes with salt while they are still hot.
