Ingredients for Firecracker Tuna

Method

Directions for Firecracker Tuna

  1. 1

    Prepare the Glaze

In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey, Sriracha, minced garlic, grated ginger, and lime juice until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Tuna

Place the tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour half of the glaze over them. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

  3. 3

    Cook the Potatoes

While the tuna is marinating, place the cubed potatoes in a large pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.

  4. 4

    Mash the Potatoes

Add butter and milk to the drained potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Keep warm.

  5. 5

    Cook the Tuna

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the tuna from the marinade and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, brushing with the remaining glaze, until desired doneness.

  6. 6

    Prepare the Vegetables

In a separate pan, sauté the seasonal vegetables in a little olive oil until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

  7. 7

    Serve

Plate the mashed potatoes, top with the firecracker tuna, and serve alongside the sautéed seasonal vegetables.
