Method
Prepare the French Toast
- 1
Whisk Ingredients
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- 2
Soak the Bread
Dip each slice of sourdough bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are fully coated. Let it soak for a few seconds to absorb the mixture.
- 3
Cook the French Toast
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little butter or oil. Once hot, place the soaked bread slices in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Prepare the Topping
- 4
Cook the Bacon
In a separate skillet, cook the bacon strips over medium heat until crispy. Once done, remove and chop into small pieces.
- 5
Prepare Strawberries
While the bacon is cooking, chop the strawberries and set aside.
- 6
Assemble the Dish
Once the French toast is cooked, place two slices on a plate. Top with chopped bacon, strawberries, and drizzle chocolate sauce or maple syrup as desired.
