Bread Pudding

Caramel Cream Sauce

Method

Bread Pudding

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Tear the stale bread into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Mix the Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine with Bread and Peaches

Pour the milk mixture over the torn bread and add the diced peaches. Gently fold the mixture together until the bread is soaked and evenly mixed.

  4. 4

    Bake the Pudding

Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray. Pour the bread mixture into the dish and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.

Caramel Cream Sauce

  1. 5

    Make the Caramel

In a saucepan over medium heat, add the granulated sugar. Stir constantly until the sugar melts and turns a golden amber color.

  2. 6

    Add Butter and Cream

Once the sugar is melted, carefully add the unsalted butter. Stir until melted. Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously. Be cautious, as the mixture may bubble up.

  3. 7

    Finish the Sauce

Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Allow the sauce to cool slightly before serving.
