Method

Preparing the Chicken Fingers

  1. 1

    Cut the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast into long strips, about 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in the third.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dip each chicken strip first into the flour, then the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Set aside on a plate.

Frying the Chicken Fingers

  1. 4

    Heat Oil

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.

  2. 5

    Fry the Chicken

Carefully place the breaded chicken strips into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

  3. 6

    Drain and Rest

Using a slotted spoon, remove the chicken fingers and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Making Dipping Sauces

  1. 7

    Prepare Sauces

In small bowls, mix together honey and mustard in one, ketchup in another, and offer hot sauce separately for dipping.

Serving the Platter

  1. 8

    Assemble the Platter

On a serving platter, arrange the fried chicken fingers, adding lemon wedges, a bunch of fresh parsley, and a side of coleslaw.

  2. 9

    Serve with Sauces

Serve the platter with the prepared dipping sauces on the side for everyone to enjoy.
