Method

Fries Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Fries

Preheat the vegetable oil in a large deep fryer or a heavy pot to 350°F (175°C). Add the frozen French fries in batches, cooking until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Pastrami Preparation

  1. 2

    Heat the Pastrami

In a skillet over medium heat, add the thinly sliced pastrami. Cook for 3-4 minutes until heated through and slightly crispy. Remove from heat.

  2. 3

    Melt the Cheese

Top the heated pastrami with Swiss cheese slices, cover the skillet, and let sit for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Coleslaw Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and grated carrot. In a separate bowl, mix together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Russian Dressing Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Dressing

In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish, and paprika until well combined. Set aside.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Capastrami Fries

On a large serving platter, layer the hot French fries. Top with the pastrami and melted Swiss cheese. Add a generous scoop of coleslaw on top, and drizzle with the Russian dressing. Serve immediately.
